Flint Lockwood thinks he's a genius. But none of the things he invented are things that make sense or are useful. Four middle-aged men decide to take a road trip from Cincinnati to the Pacific in order to get away from their lives which are leading them nowhere. The man with the yellow hat named Ted Shackleford works at a natural history museum that's fallen on hard times. This is the story of a little penguin named Mumble who has a terrible singing voice and later discovers he has no Heartsong. Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger, and the hapless prehistoric squirrel/rat known as Scrat are still together and enjoying the perks of their now melting world. Traveling raccoon con artist, RJ, arrives in a woods outside a human city in the Midwest, excited about the wonders that living near humans can bring hungry animals. Holly is not looking forward to Xmas. Her brother has a wife and kids to bring to their parents' house. She hasn't had a boyfriend since Ted.
